Special Alert

Motorists in North Carolina can expect heavier than usual traffic conditions due to holiday travel from Wednesday, November 22nd through Monday, November 27th.
Most construction projects along Interstate, US, and NC routes will be suspended beginning at 6:00 AM on Tuesday, November 21st, until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 27th.

NCDOT reminds motorists to leave early and to travel during non-peak hours when possible.  North Carolina law requires that all vehicle occupants in the front as well as backseat wear their seat belt.  Motorists are encouraged to drive safely and obey all posted speed limits.
