Winston Salem State University will host the Second Round of the NCAA Division II playoffs against Shippenburg. The football game is expected to draw a large crowd around in the vicinity of Bowman Gray Stadium.
In anticipation of a high volume of traffic surrounding the event, the WSPD and Winston Salem DOT will be managing major intersections in the vicinity. The Triad Transportation Management Center will be operating variable messaging systems along the surrounding highways/roadways to advise motorists with parking and traffic information.
It is recommended that commuters not attending these events should avoid Stadium Drive, Martin Luther King Jr Drive, and other routes surrounding the event. If possible, patrons should plan to arrive early, at least one hour prior to the special event. Carpooling is strongly encouraged
